Tom Allen op Google september 2025 We’ve just had a great time at Lugar do Pego. Caroline is a fantastic host who gives you lots of space, but will happily offer advice for the area or help in any way she can.
Our family of five had 7 days in the two bedroom building, which comes with kitchen/dining and balcony with gorgeous views over the hills to the mountains. The gardens and pool are beautiful, peaceful and totally relaxing. The bedrooms are perfect for a happy stay and good night’s sleep. We hired bikes and equipment from Caroline for the week, which meant we could use them on the Ecopista, to visit the river beach one way and the parrot cafe the other way. For a very reasonable fee, Caroline (and Helen) kindly drove us to Viseu so we could cycle the 30km back to the house. This way is mostly down hill, beautiful and the highlight of our week!
Lots of hills, mountains, rivers and towns to visit in the area too.
Would very happily return, and would love to come back and rent the 2 different villas together with friends.
